What & Where is Betchworth House
Betchworth House is a GRADE II Listed 17th Century building, located in the picturesque Dorset village of CHIDEOCK.
The village of CHIDEOCK is on the Jurassic Coastline of Dorset and Devon, which in 2001, was granted World Heritage Site Status. Chideock is in the heart of fossil country........come and join the dinosaur hunters!!
Chideock village can be found on the A35 between Bridport and Lyme Regis and Betchworth House is situated approx 1/2 mile from the beach at "Seatown".

The hamlet of "Seatown" contains some of the finest sequences of Jurassic aged rocks to be seen anywhere in the world, beginning 200 million years ago and lasting for 65 million years. The remains of the ancient plants and animals became buried on the sea floor where they slowly turned to rock and, today they can be found on the beach!
